Owor University College
Owor University College
7777 Patiko Highway
Bungatira, Gulu District
Uganda.
Campus Location:
We have identified the Owor family estate in Bungatira, Gulu, about 15 minutes drive on Patiko Highway as the site of the University College. The pristine 40 hectares parcel of land in the country setting is ideal for the College. There are also larger parcel of land adjacent to the 40 hectares that could be acquired for further expansion of the college. There are currently two buildings that were built almost 40 years ago that can be readily utilities immediately for the commencement of the University; however, both building will require some significant work particularly on the roofs to bring it up to a usable standard. All in all, much work still needs to be undertaken, however, we will begin with a one or two programs as soon as possible. We will begin by renovating the current available facilities and then add new facilities as capital funding become available.
The Board of Governors
The first official meeting of the Board of Governors will take place in December 2011 in Uganda.
